Are you visiting Walt Disney World today? If so, you might want to pack some patience and especially your ponchos and umbrellas!
Transportation issues
Earlier this morning, we reported that Disney’s Skyliner had temporarily stopped running. Guests received a push notification this morning informing them that the skyliner had stopped running and that they must use alternative modes of transportation.
Disney’s Skyliner is a pretty popular form of transportation for guests, especially those guests who stay at any one of the EPCOT resorts or Disney’s Art of Animation or Pop Century.
Hopefully the skyliner was down for only a short while, but I (Maggie) have a feeling that it might be closing down again sometime today.
Weather
While this time of year is pretty hot in Florida, it also marks the beginning of a lot of rain and the official hurricane season. Take a look at Joe’s post HERE for his take on just how active hurricane season will be this year.
Because of this rain and storms are very likely, so plan accordingly when you visit!
Multiple Attractions closed
Today, KtP writer, Monica is at Walt Disney World and she has reported hearing thunder and lightning at the Magic Kingdom.
Due to the lightning, all outdoor attractions are currently closed at Walt Disney World.
Indoor attractions remain open and usually do not close when it rains.
However, due to all of the outdoor attractions being closed, this will affect lines and obviously make your wait even longer.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom is also experiencing attraction closures as well as Test Track over at EPCOT.
Are you visiting Walt Disney World right now? Did you get caught in any rain? Are you experiencing long lines at the indoor attractions? Be safe and seek shelter or grab something to eat! Tell us about your day in the comments below or on our Facebook page.
