New nighttime testing is now underway for Tron Lightcycle Power Run. Check out this new milestone for Magic Kingdom’s newest attraction.
Tron Lightcycle Power Run
Tron Lightcycle Power Run roller coaster was first introduced to guests at Shanghai Disneyland Resorts. In this thrilling attraction, riders hop aboard motorcycle-style ride vehicles as they speed through the dark ride. It is all the more thrilling because it is one of the fastest indoor coasters in the history of Disney’s parks.
The construction steadily continues on Tron. Last month, we shared a video for the initial ride vehicle testing. This video is nothing short of AMAZING! Disney has remained relatively quiet about its opening date, but now we have an exciting milestone to share for this attraction.
New Milestone for Tron
Although Disney has not made many announcements on the progress of Tron, guests visiting Magic Kingdom can check on the progress of Tron aboard the PeopleMover.
A large, white canopy that covers the outdoor portion of this attraction is now fully constructed. You can see photos of this canopy construction and also work on the new train tunnel HERE. When completed, the canopy will be completely illuminated with brilliant lights as guests zoom along on the illuminated ride vehicles.
Last night, guests visiting the Magic Kingdom were surprised to discover that a brand new milestone is now reached with Tron. As the sunset, a beautiful, magical glow could be seen from Tomorrowland.
Light testing for Tron’s canopy could be seen by guests on June 9, 2022.
These guests were given the first glimpse to see light testing on Tron’s canopy. Thanks to @tparris3245 for these photos of this brilliant milestone.
Along with ride vehicle testing, this milestone is a big step forward for this attraction. We hope that Disney will have an opening timeline for this attraction very soon.
