Exciting updates for new Disney Springs hotel

Drury Plaza Hotel

The Drury Plaza Hotel is owned by the Drury Hotels chain. The addition will be the company’s largest hotel to date, boasting 604 rooms. A portion of those rooms will open on the scheduled date of October 27, 2022. The rest will be ready in the spring of 2023.

Since this hotel will be a Disney hotel, it will have several perks like early theme park entry, transportation to and from the parks, and the ability to book packages through Disney.

This hotel is replacing Best Western Lake Buena Vista Resort, a resort once popular with offsite guests for its last minute deals on bookings. The switch entails renovations to the original building along with the construction of a new tower.

New Updates

Drury has provided an update for us as we near completion!

First, the hotel is nearing completion and will begin to welcome guests by fall 2022 — reservations are now being accepted for October 27, 2022 and beyond. 

Exciting news — Drury will NOT charge a resort fee! The resort fee is normally $25 + tax per room night. The average length of stay is typically 5 nights so this reflects a savings of $125. This decision aligns with Drury’s commitment to provide its guests with exceptional service and amenities at an honest value.

Other complimentary hotel amenities include: hot breakfast, dinnertime snacks and beverages at the 5:30 Kickback, WiFi, and shuttle service to all Walt Disney World Theme Parks & the Disney Springs Area. 

Starbucks Coffee will be onsite in the guest Market Place, along with Pizza Hut Express and two onsite restaurants.
