Calling all fans of Disney’s silly old bear! Winnie the Pooh-The New Musical Stage Adaptation is back and goes on tour soon!
Winnie the Pooh-The New Musical Stage Adaptation
Johnathan Rockefeller created a darling musical stage adaptation of the classic story of Winnie the Pooh entitled Winnie the Pooh-The New Musical Stage Adaptation. The show brings Pooh Bear, his friends, and the Hundred Acre Wood to the stage!
The show features many of the delightful original songs written by Robert and Richard Sherman. These include ‘Winnie the Pooh’, ‘The Wonderful Thing About Tiggers’ and ‘A Rather Blustery Day’.
While there are actors, the show relies primarily on puppeteering. In fact, the show features larger-than-life puppets! These adorable puppets were designed and constructed by a talented team within the walls of Rockefeller Productions.
The show’s first run was limited to New York and Chicago. However, it is back in NYC and tours soon!
NYC Shows
The show re-opened in New York City today (June 18, 2022). It will remain in New York through July 24, 2022.
Currently, tickets are on sale now for the New York City run. Pricing begins at just $39. While some dates are sold out, several shows are still available.
The Tour
Soon, Winnie the Pooh and Friends are bringing the Hundred Acre Wood to select cities around the country. Tickets are already on sale for many of the shows!
So far, Scheduled shows will take place in cities in Texas, Florida, Alabama, Kansas, Nevada, Iowa, Arkansas, South Dakota, Colorado, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Wisconsin, Michigan, and also more locations in New York.
If you don’t see your location just yet, never fear. The tour will also head to additional locations. I am hoping to see theatres near me on the next list.
