Will this refurbishment affect your next trip to Walt Disney World?
Grand Floridian Refurbishment
Disney’s Grand Floridian is currently in a major refurbishment. First, the villas received a soft goods overhaul with subtle nods to Mary Poppins and the Sherman Brothers. Disney is also currently converting the Big Pine Key building into DVC accommodations. Have you booked a stay at one of these newly refurbished rooms yet?
We also know there is a possible overhaul of the entire resort. You can read about that possibility HERE.
Citrico’s was recently refurbished, and when they reopened it was given a Mary Poppins theme. Check out Jamie’s review of Citrico’s and see if you want to add it to your list of dining reservations.
Narcoossee’s
Narcoossee’s was originally scheduled to undergo a refurbishment in mid-June. If you are a fan of seafood, this is definitely a great choice!
Disney’s website describes it as the following: Delight in superb seafood, steak and more in this waterfront hideaway. Narcoossee’s serves a spectacular, innovative selection of fresh seafood from both local waters and around the globe.

Refurbishment Update
Disney has shared another update regarding this refurbishment. Here is the official update:
Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will be unavailable beginning July 14, 2022 as the location undergoes refurbishment. Reservations at Narcoossee’s will be available through July 13, and we expect to return next year with an enhanced table service experience.
Narcoossee’s will close for refurbishment on July 14, 2022 and will reopen next year.
Dining reservations for Narcoossee’s will be available through July 13th and to give guests more dining options, Citrico’s will be open 7 days a week beginning later this summer.
