This week Walt Disney World announced the return of great Disney meet and greets, but a recent change to a few of our favorite offerings has us concerned. Check out this update below.
Characters Returning
“The Magic is calling” at Walt Disney World! Each week it appears that more and more signs point to the return of “normal” in the Disney Parks.
This week a HUGE milestone was met on our pathway to “normal.” Even more great character meet and greets will return to Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios this summer. Guests can also enjoy fireworks two times each night for select dates this summer.
This is great news for guests visiting Walt Disney World, but a recent update to the Walt Disney World website has us concerned for the fate of the galaxy.
Jedi Training
Young ones between the ages of 4 and 12 could sign up and train with Jedi Knights and then put on a stage show against Darth Vader, Kylo Ren, and Stormtroopers. My (Donna) family absolutely loved this experience. The last time my young Jedis enjoyed this experience was in February 2020. I had no idea that would be the last time that my oldest Jedi would be able to enjoy this experience.
Earlier this month we shared multiple reasons why Jedi Training remains closed. Check out the many possible reasons for this HERE. Previously, Jedi Training was listed on the Walt Disney World website as “unavailable.” Today this experience is completely removed from the Walt Disney World website.
There could be 2 possible scenarios for the removal of Jedi Training. First, this special experience may no longer be available. The second, which we are all hoping for, is that this experience is in the process of being reimagined. Perhaps they are reworking this experience and we may hear an announcement for its return very soon.
Previously listed as “unavailable,” Jedi Training is now removed from the Walt Disney World website.
Back in September 2021, we shared that the Voyage of the Little Mermaid was removed from the Walt Disney World website, and this attraction has since remained closed with no signs of reopening. We hope that this will not be a similar fate for the Jedi Training.
Currently, this location in Disney’s Hollywood Studios only offers Disney PhotoPass services.
What do you think of this update? Do you think Jedi Training may return? Do you think this experience is closed to help encourage guests to book a stay aboard the Galactic Starcruiser? Share your thoughts with us on our Facebook Page.
