Beacons of Light
Among the many anniversary celebrations that are happening at Walt Disney World are the Beacons of Magic. Each park icon has received stunning makeovers celebrating Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary.
Spaceship Earth is without a doubt the breakout star of the 50th Anniversary celebration. At Christmas, guests could enjoy a special holiday light show. For the Festival of the Arts, the Muppets lit up Spaceship Earth with Rainbow Connection.
During the Flower and Garden Festival, guests have enjoyed painting with all the colors of the wind with a beautiful Pocahontas overlay for Spaceship Earth.
Now guests can enjoy a beautiful new overlay for Spaceship Earth for a limited time only.
Patriotic Overlay
Guests visiting EPCOT for the July 4th holiday will enjoy many great patriotic offerings. Be sure to check out the special patriotic addition to EPCOT’s Harmonious HERE and the many great patriotic offerings across Walt Disney World HERE.
Spaceship Earth will also receive a patriotic overlay starting tonight. When the sun sets, Spaceship Earth will be illuminated with red, white, and blue lights. This is such a stunning tribute to our great nation.
Disney Imagineer, Zach Riddley, shares on Instagram, “Spaceship Earth is ready to shine brightly with a very limited-time ambient lighting design celebrating Independence Day.”
This beautiful light show will illuminate EPCOT for 4 days only starting July 1st and ending on July 4th. This is such a special way to celebrate this holiday at Walt Disney World.
Spaceship Earth will be illuminated as the American flag from July 1st until July 4th.
