Do you love visiting those Happy Haunts? Well if you are visiting next month, you may not be able to see them. Read on for all the details.
Haunted Mansion
Haunted Mansion is one of my (Heather) favorite attractions at Disney! Disneyland’s description of the ride is:
Dearly depart into a foreboding estate, drag your body to the dead center of the Portrait Chamber and watch as the walls begin to stretch before your eyes. Climb into your waiting Doom Buggy and embark on a shivering journey into an unearthly realm.
The disembodied voice of the Ghost Host is your private guide through the cadaverous dwelling—home to grinning ghosts and other spectral surprises.
Glide past a rattling casket in the conservatory. Head off to Madame Leota’s spooky séance room. Float by the Grand Ballroom and its waltzing apparitions. Take a spin through a cemetery where the spirited residents regale you with song.
Beware of lurking hitchhikers—these phantom pranksters may try to follow you home!
Haunted Mansion Refurbishment
I have a visit to see this Holiday overlay as a bucket list item. Jack Skellington and his crew are back! The Pumpkin King, if you are not familiar, is from from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.
You will find many of the characters form the film take over The Haunted Mansion. The overlay is complete with a real life gingerbread house located in the Grand Hall.
Guests are immersed from the moment they walk in! This looks like such a fun experience, and I wish they they would bring it to Disney World. This special LIMITED TIME overlay can only be found in Disneyland.
Check out last years Haunted Mansion Holiday where it celebrated it’s 20th anniversary HERE.
Haunted Mansions Closure Dates
On Disneyland’s website you will find: Haunted Mansion will be closed for refurbishment from August 15, 2022, to September 1, 2022, and will reopen on September 2, 2022 as Haunted Mansion Holiday during Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort.
The Haunted Mansion in Disneyland will be closed from August 15, 2022 to September 1, 2022.
This overlay is so fun and festive! Disneyland knows how to put these two Holidays together to make a fun experience the whole family can enjoy!
