Disney Vacation Clubs have been waiting so long for this announcement! Back in April, we share the news that the Top of the World Lounge is reopening soonThis is a bar located at Disney’s Bay Lake Tower that offers amazing views of Walt Disney World similar to those of California Grill.

This lounge is only for DVC members and their guests, and they must show proof in order to visit the lounge. It is open from 6:00 pm to midnight.

Recently, we shared that Top of the World Lounge reopened on July 11! This is a great perk for DVC Members. Disney’s Bay Lake Tower Resort provides amazing views of Magic Kingdom and the Seven Seas Lagoon. It’s a great place to unwind, especially if you are staying on the monorail loop.

When the lounge reopened, it had new theming as A Villains Lair. In addition, new carpet and furnishings give the cool space an updated look.

From July 8-10, DVC members staying at a Disney hotel were able to book a special fireworks package, “Bound to be Bad.”

To book this event, either call Disney’s Member Services at 800-800-9800. Eligible DVC members who are staying at a Disney-owned-and-operated Walt Disney Resort using their membership can book this add-on. Note that it is subject to availability.

Do you Need It?

While having a reserved spot at Disney’s Bay Lake Tower is very convenient, is it necessary? To me (Susan), it’s not needed. On a recent visit, I watched the fireworks from this terrace and because they shoot from into sky, there are multiple excellent viewing spots.

While the 3 food items will be fun, the lounge remains open so DVC members and their guests can watch the fireworks for free.

What are your thoughts on this event? Will you book it or just go to the lounge to catch the fireworks? Please let us know if the comments below or on our Facebook Page.
