Contemporary Resort has been undergoing refurbishment for quite some time, but the new theming is pretty “incredible”. All nine floors of the tower’s guests rooms at Disney’s Contemporary Resort have been refurbished. You can take a look at how they look now in this post HERE.

Refurbishments are nothing new at Disney World. The company is always trying to improve upon the guest experience. Unfortunately, to make improvements long term there are inconveniences in the short term.

Construction noises, closures, and limited experiences can make for a less-than-magical experience during the process.

Refurbishments are still taking place around the resort and for some of the resort pools. You can read more about those HERE.

Guests staying at the Contemporary Resort and Bay Lake Tower should be aware that refurbishment is scheduled to take place on the bridge connecting the resort to Bay Lake Tower. Thankfully, this is only a short refurbishment. The bridge will be closed from July 18th through July 20th.

Skyway Bridge will be closed from July 18th through July 20th at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

It is scheduled to temporarily reopen to guests on July 19th from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., but will be closed until refurbishment is complete.

We are glad this is only a short refurbishment for guests as the bridge is a convenient way to get to Bay Lake Tower from the Contemporary Resort. It is also a great place to view the fireworks!
