There are some exciting perks for Disney Vacation Club Members. However, the registration process can be very frustrating. One DVC event in particular is leaving members feeling disappointed.
Disney Vacation Club
Disney Vacation Club or DVC is Disney’s version of a timeshare. I (Heather) have been a DVC member for several years and love the memories this opportunity has given us. Looking for more information about Disney Vacation Club? Check out all the ins and outs of DVC HERE.
In a few weeks my family will be visiting for DVC Moonlight Magic at Typhoon Lagoon which is just one of the many Member Benefits that have returned. I can’t wait to experience this fun events.
Another Membership Benefit is the EXCLUSIVE DVC Member Cruise! Member Cruises do cost money and are not cheap. On these cruises guests receive daily themed gifts delivered right to their stateroom! They will also get to experience special entertainment that was created just for THIS DVC MEMBER CRUISE!
2023 DVC Member Cruise
In 2023 DVC Members will get to enjoy the Member Cruise on Disney’s newest ship, the Disney Wish! This cruise will set sail to the Bahamas on a 4 night round trip from Port Canaveral. Cruisers will get to visit Nassau in the Bahamas and Disney Castaway Cay.
The 2023 Member Cruise on the Disney Wish is SOLD OUT!
The 2023 DVC Member Cruise went on sale yesterday and is now SOLD OUT within hours!
How To Book The DVC Member Cruise
If you head to the DVC website you will find the process of how to book the Member Cruise. Here is what you will find:
Call Member Services at (800) 800-9800 or (407) 566-3800† to book your spot.
Member Services will be open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time on July 23 to book Member Cruise reservations exclusively—as well as to assist with any Resort arrivals occurring within 5 days of the July 23 date. Due to the popularity of the Member Cruise, you may experience longer-than-usual wait times.
Member Services will reopen with normal operations at 9:00 AM Eastern Time on Sunday, July 24 to support all Membership requests.
An Improved Booking Process
As we continue to improve and respond to feedback from our Members, we have adjusted our Member Cruise Booking Day process to improve our ability to quickly secure your space during your initial inbound phone call.
After your initial inbound call, a Member Services Cast Member will contact you within 72 hours of Member Cruise Booking Day to finalize the payment of Points and/or cash and to fully secure the booking.
Simplified Booking Process
I don’t know about you guys, but Disney is offering tips for a simplified booking process. However, it doesn’t seem any easier. Disney has moved almost everything to online so we are doing all of our vacation planning on computers and smartphones but then have us call in to book this!
There has to be a better way! Disney has all other registrations online, so it doesn’t seem like this would be too challenging for them to do. Members struggled to get through the phone lines to book their cruise yesterday.
No matter what way they would change this process, it would be better than calling in and sitting on the phone for hours hoping to get a spot. I hope that the process changes and is more user friendly.
What do you think of the process for registrering for the DVC Member Cruise? Do you think it needs to change? Did you get a spot? Let us know on the Kenny the Pirate Facebook page. Don’t forget to join the KtP crew page, too!
