Back in March, Disney announced new dining options and a makeover at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort. The ESPN Club is currently being demolished right now to make room for The Cake Bake Shop.

The resort itself is also undergoing many changes. Through the doors of Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, light and airy touches will added to the lobby and lounge and guest rooms, carrying the seaside breeze right inside.

Just off the lobby, a new coffee bar with artisanal beverages and quick bites will be available to-go or in newly refreshed seating spaces inside or outdoors.

BoardWalk Deli

The BoardWalk Deli is taking over the space where Guests used to be able to find bakery items. Their coffee cake was one of my favorite items, and it was a great way to start the day.

The bakery is now closed (with virtually no notice by Disney) to make necessary changes for the new dining location. We also have a first look at the menu, which you can read about HERE.

While the new menu does look super tasty, I am a bit sad we are losing the bakery. I’m sure the deli will be amazing, and I cannot wait to try it on a future trip!

So far, Disney has only shared that the deli will open this summer. However, if you look on the Disney World website, it has posted operating hours for August 15 and beyond. Hours are 7:00 am to 10:00 pm.

While we cannot say for certain, it seems very likely the BoardWalk Deli will open in just a few weeks on August 15! We will keep you posted if this date changes.

What are your thoughts on the deli taking over the bakery? Let us know in the comments below and on Facebook.
