Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party
The Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party event returns this year! This fan-favorite party has been on pause for the last few years, and we are excited to see it back! This party boasts parades, stage shows, special fireworks, character meets, trick-or-treating, and SO much more.
You can see the dates and pricing for 2022 HERE and see what new updates will be take place HERE. You may notice that prices aren’t as high as they were for Boo Bash last year, but they are more expensive than what we saw in 2020 (ticket pricing was released in February before the park closure). We speculated the reasoning for this price increase HERE.
Limited Capacity
One of the perks of purchasing an event ticket is that you can enter Magic Kingdom at 4:00 pm. This gives you the chance to enjoy the park before the party officially starts at 7:00 pm. The park will close to day guests without an event ticket at 6:00 pm.
Looking at the Disney World park pass calendar, it appears on August 12, 16, 19, and 23 park passes are sold out for theme park tickets and resort hotel tickets. The system may be taking the event into account and allocating space for party Guests arriving at 4:00 pm.
It is worth noting Annual Passholders still have fully availability for these dates in August.
A Glitch?
Is this a glitch? Will Disney update the system to reflect true daytime availability before 4:00 pm? Or does Disney World really plan to limit capacity on dates when Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party occurs?
So far, the only date sold out for the party is Halloween night, October 31. We will keep an eye on this and share if availability opens back up. In the meantime, get those passes booked if you plan to visit soon!
What are your thoughts on limited capacity? Is this a glitch or is Disney accommodating the influx of party Guests coming in at 4:00 pm? Let us know in the comments below and on Facebook.
