Several Disney World Pools will CLOSE for Refurbishment

A few pool refurbishments are scheduled for a number of Walt Disney World resorts. Will this affect one of your future stays?

Pool Refurbishments

Refurbishment is an often dreaded word around the Disney Parks. From time to time our favorite attractions are closed for a minor or sometimes major refurbishment. Check out the current list of attraction refurbishments HERE.

While Guests prepare for upcoming Disney vacations, much time is devoted to selecting the perfect Resort and dining locations for their trip. What Guests may not always consider are current refurbishments scheduled for their Disney Resort. There are quite a few Disney Resorts that have pool refurbishments scheduled.

Refurbishments for pools are quite common in order to keep the pools clean and give guests a better experience for their stays at resorts. We typically see refurbishments occur during the winter months when pools are used less often.

Future refurbishments

A number of pool refurbishments are planned for the future including pools at Saratoga Springs. Saratoga Springs is also updating their other pools this year, which you can read about HERE.

More refurbishments are coming to Disney World Resorts at the following pools. Disney released the following schedule for pool refurbishments and here is what it says:

From time to time, we occasionally refresh offerings across the Walt Disney World Resort. As part of that work, the following Disney Resort hotel feature pools will be unavailable from approximately January through April 2024 as they undergo routine maintenance:

• Fantasia Pool at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
• Fuentes del Morro Pool at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
• Doubloon Lagoon at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter

Guests staying at these resorts may utilize other resort pools during the downtime.

Do keep in mind that dates can change frequently and may change. 2024 seems pretty far from now, but it is good to know as you make plans for a future Disney World vacation.
