Part of what makes a Disney vacation so magical is interacting with your favorite characters. Recently, guests were delighted to enjoy meeting rare characters at this Walt Disney World Resort. During special events, rare characters will often greet guests such as at the recent DVC Moonlight Magic event at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

With the opening of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, one rare character returned to the delight of guests. iCan Robot is now greeting guests at EPCOT for the opening of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.  Previously, iCan Robot greeted guests in Tomorrowland with its last appearance being in 2017. Many guests forgot about this unique character.

Originally this was a limited-time interaction. This was then extended until the end of June and has since extended into July. Now another rare character returns to EPCOT.

Over at EPCOT, guests can now enjoy a fun interaction with a trash can! Guests visiting the former Electric Umbrella may remember a rare interaction with a trash can. Yes, you heard us right…a trash can.

Once guests push the lid, the trash can begins talking to them. When Electric Umbrella closed to make way for Connections Cafe & Eatery, this talking trash can was removed. Once Connections Cafe & Eatery opened for guests, there was no sign of the former talking trash can.

Today, guests visiting the Odyssey Pavilion (formerly home to the EPCOT Experience) discovered a cool surprise when they went to discard their trash. The talking trash can has returned and is located near the pavilion entrance seemingly hidden behind the wall. It has been refurbished and is a sleek silver with the classic EPCOT logo on both sides.

The interactive talking trash can has returned to EPCOT’s Odyssey Pavilion.

Also in this location, guests can enjoy a DJ while enjoying a bit of air conditioning. This is just another way that Disney is not just another theme park. It may be just as much fun to watch others interact with the talking trash can as it is to interact with it yourself.

What do you think of the talking trash can at EPCOT? Did you interact with it before? Will you plan to visit the Odyssey Pavilion to interact with it during your next trip to EPCOT? Share your thoughts with us on our Facebook Page.
