New Refurbishment is now Scheduled for Disney’s Skyliner

A new refurbishment is scheduled for Disney’s Skyliner. Be sure to check out the dates to see how this may affect your next trip to Walt Disney World.

Disney Transportation

There are many differing opinions on transportation options, largely depending upon which Disney Resort you are staying at and also which Park you will be visiting. The Walt Disney World Resort is HUGE and many questions revolve around what is the quickest mode of transportation to arrive at each Park. 

From the Skyliner, buses, ferry boats, and of course the monorail there are many options for Resort Guests to arrive at each of the Walt Disney World Parks. Choosing the fastest and most efficient form of transportation is key to a peaceful visit.

Disney Skyliner

Our family absolutely loves the Skyliner. They love it so much that they act as though it is a Park attraction. We have a fun tradition for our arrival day. We will board the Skyliner, ride along the line, and return to our Resort.

The Skyliner is a magical way to start a day at EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Skyliner stations are at Art of Animation Resort, Pop Century Resort, Riviera Resort, and the main hub at Caribbean Beach.

Skyliner Refurbishment

We have seen the Disney Skyliner close for a brief refurbishment in January in the past. We now have dates for the planned refurbishment in 2023. This refurbishment is scheduled for January 22-January 29, 2023.

During this time, the Disney Skyliner will be fully closed. Additional buses will be available at the Skyliner Resorts to allow Guests transportation to both Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. This past January 2022, the Disney Skyliner reopened earlier than expected from this scheduled refurbishment.

The Disney Skyliner refurbishment is scheduled for January 22-January 29, 2023. Additional buses will be available at the Skyliner Resorts to allow Guests transportation to both Hollywood Studios and EPCOT.

We hope this next refurbishment will be quick and allow guests to once again “Cruise around Walt Disney World Resort in style-riding incredible aerial gondolas!”
