As if the new Galactic Starcruiser was not already expensive enough, now a huge price increase will affect guests with current reservations.
Galactic Starcruiser
The 2-day galactic experience opened to guests on March 1, 2022, after months and months of anticipation. Disney gives guests an immersive vacation including a two-night, cruise-style itinerary. Guests will become the hero of their own adventure in an experience that surrounds guests in Star Wars storytelling 24 hours a day!
Guests can choose from different itineraries, have a wide range of dining options, stay in unique guest rooms and interact with plenty of Star Wars characters.
With a hefty price tag, one may assume that PhotoPass downloads would be included. Unfortunately, Guests will still need to purchase Memory Maker to download their photos from this unique experience.
HUGE Price Increase
In keeping with the Star Wars experience, PhotoPass photographers are referred to as Image Scanners. They are located throughout the ship to capture photos of Guests. What if you want an individual photo session of this amazing experience? Disney has you covered, of course, but it will cost you.
Guests aboard the Galactic Starcruiser can have a similar experience. The CSL Portrait Experience must be booked before your voyage. The session will last for 30 minutes, and you can have photos taken at multiple locations throughout the ship. The introductory price is $99 for the experience.
Well if that wasn’t enough of a “sticker shock”, this introductory price of $99 will soon increase to $399. This price change will go into effect on October 17th. This price change is based on the cruise date and not based upon the date of booking. Unfortunately, there is no way for guests to lock in this “introductory rate” for reservations after October 17th.
CSL Portrait Experience will soon see a price change. The introductory rate of $99 will end on October 16th. Starting October 17th this 30-minute photo session will cost $399.
Do you think that these photos should be included in this extravagant voyage? Would you be willing to pay the additional price for the PhotoPass Memory Maker and/or for the CSL Portrait Experience? Share your thoughts with us on our Facebook Page.
