Emergencies can occur even at the most magical place on earth. Check out the current evacuation at EPCOT today.
Emergencies at Disney
Walt Disney World is no stranger to incidents involving fire. There have actually been quite a few lately. Earlier this year, a small fire occurred at the Magic Kingdom during their nighttime spectacular, Disney Enchantment. Another incident happened during a stage show which caused the show to come to a sudden halt.
Back in December, guests saw a rare sight of fire trucks rushing down Main Street after an incident in the Magic Kingdom. Most recently, guests spotted a small fire during a showing of Harmonious. In July, we shared that a pulled fire alarm at Tower of Terror led all guests and Cast Members to evacuate the attraction.
Evacuation at EPCOT

This evening, all guests and cast members were evacuated from Connections Cafe and Connections Eatery for a reported fire. At the time of this writing, a fire has not been confirmed at this point. Currently, this does affect those guests that were dining inside, and those guests at EPCOT hoping to order food here later this evening.
Currently, when guests attempt to place a Mobile Order through the My Disney Experience app a screen displays, “We’re sorry, but there are no times available.” Guests are then prompted to select another dining location. Connections Eatery has operating hours until the park closes at 9:00 pm.
This evening, all guests and cast members were evacuated from Connections Cafe and Connections Eatery for a reported fire. Currently, mobile ordering is not available for this dining location.
At this time, it is uncertain the cause for this evacuation, and if Connections Eatery may resume food service for the remainder of this evening.
