Great New Technology

The Walt Disney Company continues to look for ways to add a bit more “magic” to your stay while using the most innovative technology. Last September, we shared that Disney and Amazon were partnering together. This new venture will be called, “Hey Disney.” For the first time, instead of asking Alexa to do something, you can ask Disney to do it!

This will be available for Guests to enjoy Echo Show 5 in their rooms in their Disney Resort room. The magic is not simply limited to the Walt Disney World Resorts. There will also be an in-home offering for “Hey Disney” as well. Once these are available, they will even interact with the new MagicBand+.

Interactive Televisions

Do you want to add a bit more Disney magic to your downtime at your Walt Disney World Resort? New interactive televisions will allow guests to connect to streaming services, and allow guests to enjoy complimentary Disney content. As always, the Disney Resort televisions will continue to offer Theme Park hours, resort amenities, and more.

These new televisions will interact with guests by welcoming them to the resort. Currently, these new interactive televisions are installed at both Disney’s Port Orleans Resort French Quarter and Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside. Shortly, these will be installed at the following Walt Disney World Resorts:

  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
  • Disney’s Beach Club Resort
  • Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
  • Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa

  • Disney’s Old Key West
  • Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
  • Disney’s Riviera Resort
  • Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
  • Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

New interactive televisions will allow guests to connect to streaming services, and allow guests to enjoy complimentary Disney content.

Guests can also easily stream from laptops, smartphones, and even tables on these new televisions. Although you may not spend great amounts of time in your Disney Resort, this is great news when your family needs to take a break from the park or during a rest day.

What do you think of these new interactive televisions? Do you think that they may eventually be installed at value resorts as well? Would this bring a bit more “magic” to your Disney Resort stay? Share your thoughts with us on our Facebook Page.
