Testing now taking place for Fantasmic!

Are you excited for the return of Fantasmic!? More preparations are taking place for the return of this show.

Fantasmic! Reimagined

The Fantasmic! show has delighted Guests since 1992 (with its closure in 2016). This show has remained closed since the reopening of the parks.

In November 2021, we shared that Fantasmic! will be returning in 2022. Disney shared that Fantasmic will reopen with a few changes. The new Fantasmic! show will feature “new animation, water effects, and everything that we love about Fantasmic!.” Be sure to check out the details for these new show scenes HERE.

Guests visiting Disneyland have enjoyed Fantasmic! since May 28th. East Coast Disney fans have wondered when we will once again enjoy this nighttime entertainment. Believe it or not, we may be close to the reopening of Fantasmic!

Last month, we shared that Fantasmic! took a BIG step toward reopening. We also shared a rumored reopening date for Fantasmic! Now we may have an official announcement very soon for the reopening of Fantasmic!

Testing Underway

Fantasmic! has been closed since 2020, but recently Disney shared that the lights had returned as rehearsals are now in place for Fantasmic! Early this morning, a fellow crew member was out early at 2:30 am. While he was driving, he saw the brightly lit spotlights from Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Fans of Fantasmic! can remember this beautiful lighting sequence. This early morning lighting testing and rehearsal is a great sign that Fantasmic! may return very soon.
