A new change is now in place at Galaxy’s Edge that is going to make your next visit even easier. Check out this new update.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests can travel to the planet of Batuu. Once inside, guests can be transported aboard the Millennium Falcon on Smuggler’s Run or join the resistance aboard Rise of the Resistance.
This immersive land is filled with great character interactions, great eateries, and of course great shopping locations. It is a bit of an understatement to state that this land becomes a bit chaotic during the day. A new update will make your next trip to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge a bit less chaotic.
New Update
Every trip to Disney’s Hollywood Studios leads to my (Donna) family stopping in at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities. They offer very unique Star Wars memorabilia including Kyber Crystals, Holocrons, cloaks, and more. Not only do they offer unique souvenirs, but the store itself is quite impressive.
Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities now offers Mobile Checkout.
Many times, we have been overwhelmed with the many guests shopping and the long line of guests waiting to check out. Thankfully, Dok-Ondar’s now offers Mobile Checkout.
Mobile Checkout
Last year, Disney started testing mobile checkout through their mobile apps. This happened at both Disneyland and Disney World.
This is a very easy process! In your My Disney Experience app, select the “Shop in Store” by selecting the large + on the bottom of the screen.
From there, select your store. You will then scan items as you add them to your bag. Once you’re done shopping, tap “check out” to pay on your phone. Be sure to show your QR code to a Cast Member at the designated area near the exit. They will place your items in a bag for you.
Worried if any of your eligible discounts will be applied? Don’t worry they will be! If you are shopping with an eligible Annual Pass, Magic Key, or Disney Vacation Club be sure they are linked to your Disney account. They will be applied automatically. Remember that Annual Passholders can enjoy 30% off for a limited time.
Be sure to check out the other shops around Walt Disney World that offer Mobile Checkout HERE.
What do you think of Mobile Checkout? Have you used this before? Will you use Mobile Checkout during your next trip to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge? Share your thoughts with us on our Facebook Page.
