Just like at its theme parks and other destinations, Disney Cruise Line is constantly updating guidelines and protocols based on the current environment. Disney Cruise Line eliminated mask mandates and social distancing. In addition, self-serve buffets returned as well. You can read about those changes HERECharacter hugs and autographs have also returned!

Back in Julythe CDC released an update stating that “CDC’s COVID-19 Program for Cruise Ships is no longer in effect. CDC will continue to publish guidance to help cruise ships continue to provide a safer and healthier environment for passengers, crew, and communities going forward.”

Beginning September 2, 2022, for sailings departing US and Canadian ports, Disney Cruise Line will require Guests ages 12 and older to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the time of sailing, as defined by the CDC. In consideration of CDC guidance, Disney Cruise Line highly recommends that Guests ages 11 and younger be fully vaccinated before sailing. Read more about this HERE.

Recently a new update was made concerning COVID testing prior to setting sail. This is great news for vaccinated guests. Be sure to check out this latest update HERE.

For some time, guests aboard the Disney Cruise Line did not have to wear face masks while on board. This is great news for many guests. During this time, however, Disney Crew Members still wore face masks. We all know that what makes Disney Parks and the Disney Cruise Line magical is the Cast Members.

Due to health and safety protocols, Disney Cruise Line Crew Members were required to wear face masks until just recently. Face masks are now optional for Crew Members.

This is a HUGE step to the return to normal aboard the Disney Cruise Line. We are thankful for every step towards a more “normal” Disney experience.

Due to health and safety protocols, Disney Cruise Line Crew Members were required to wear face masks until just recently. Face masks are now optional for Crew Members.

What do you think of this change for Disney Cruise Line Crew Members? Do you think we may see a change for vaccination requirements soon for the Disney Cruise Line? Will this affect your thoughts in booking a cruise in the near future? Share your thoughts with us on our Facebook Page.
