Disney’s Animal Kingdom will hose an EARidescent Celebration for community leaders and VoluntEARS on September 24, 2022. This event is a partial buyout in Dinoland U.S.A., Asia, and Pandora from 6:00 pm to 11:30 pm.

Guests will begin arriving at 6:00 pm and will have credentials to distinguish themselves from Day Guests. Regular park close for Day Guests is 8:00 pm on September 24.

Fossil Fun games will close at 6:00 pm and other Dinoland attractions, merchandise and food and beverage locations will close at 7:00 to accommodate set up for the event.

Parts of Animal Kingdom will close early on September 24.

It does not appear that attractions and drink and food locations in Asia and Pandora will be affected by this special event.

What does this mean for Day Guests?

As mentioned above, various attractions and shopping and dining locations will not be available after 6:00 and 7:00 pm on this day. I would definitely recommend working Dinoland attractions into your touring strategy and plan to complete those by the afternoon.

At the end of your day, consider sitting down for dinner at Tusker House or Tiffins. You could also meet some characters or complete attractions in Africa and Discovery Island. Since it doesn’t seem likely that Asia and Pandora attractions will close early, you could complete those attractions as well. Who doesn’t love seeing Pandora all lit up at night?

If you happen to be visiting during this time, you will likely also notice an influx of Guests later in the afternoon and evening. Typically, Animal Kingdom is pretty quiet by this time of day. However, that will not be the case for this special event.

Are you visiting Animal Kingdom on September 24? Will your touring plan be affected by this special event? Let us know in the comments below and on Facebook.
