One Disney World attraction has not opened yet today

Well, this could certainly put a damper on your touring strategy!

Attraction Closures

No one likes to hear their favorite attraction is closed! Whether it be a long-term scheduled refurbishment or a sudden closure due to technical or mechanical issues, rides do close.

In doing so, it can cause wait times for other attractions to increase as people look for alternatives. Additionally, if you have an Individual Lightning Lane Selection or Genie+ selection for the closed attraction, it can mess with your daily plans.

Pirate tip: if the attraction you have an ILLS or Genie+ for is closed during your return time, it will automatically convert to a Multi Use Experience.

This means you will be able to “skip the line” at an alternative attraction, or you can wait to use it on the attraction you originally selected. Guests visiting Epcot today may have to do just that.

Frozen Ever After

Who doesn’t love Frozen? It’s so popular Disney decided to replace Maelstrom, a beloved ride in the Norway Pavilion, with a Frozen-themed ride.

Hop on an ancient Nordic boat and voyage through scenes of the film as you sing along to those catchy songs. Travel up the North Mountain where Elsa is creating her palace made of ice (ice is my life) and plunge forward and backward through the wintry world of Frozen.

This ride is an absolute must-do for my girls (and for my husband who loves to belt out those tunes) on our trips. We aren’t the only ones either – this ride is so popular it can reach up to an hour or more of waiting during peak seasons.

Closed

Unfortunately, it has not opened yet today, September 25. The park has been open for approximately 3 hours, and not one single Guest has been able to rope drop, use standby, or enter the Lightning Lane entrance to experience the attraction.

Frozen Ever After has not opened yet at Epcot today.

To make matters a bit worse today, both Test Track and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure are temporarily closed! Do note that both of these rides have opened today. This is no doubt causing a ripple effect throughout the park.

Are you at Epcot today? Did you have plans to ride Frozen Ever After? Let us know in the comments below and on Facebook.
