Hurricane Ian
Recently, we began covering Tropical Storm Ian and its potential impact on Disney World. It is expected to intensify into a Major Hurricane (Category 3 or stronger) as it approaches Florida.
Right now, Florida is projected to be hit by Wednesday with hurricane-force winds and heavy rainfall. Disney issued a statement late Saturday night that they are operating under normal conditions. You can read that full statement HERE. Earlier we shared that Fort Wilderness issued a warning to guests with current reservations. Check this out HERE.
Disney World resorts and experiences and Airport Closures
Disney World resorts and select experiences have also been forced to close due to Hurricane Ian. Read more about the details regarding the closures HERE and other experiences HERE that was just announced earlier today.
Not only that, but Tampa International Airport was also forced to suspend their operations along with Orlando International Airport. It is quite obvious the state of Florida is taking all of their preparations seriously for Hurricane Ian. Safety remains a priority for all guests and residents of Florida right now.
