With Hurricane Ian heading toward Walt Disney World, the parks may not reopen as soon as expected.
Park Reservations
Since the phased reopening of the theme parks, park reservations have been required for all four theme parks. Although Disney makes more park passes available at times, it’s a good idea to secure them as soon as you book your vacation. Previously, the Disney Reservation Calendar allowed booking through the end of 2023. This has recently been extended through January 2024.
Yesterday, we shared that the Disney World Parks will be closed on both Wednesday, September 28th and Thursday, September 29th. At this time Walt Disney World is set to reopen on Friday, September 30th.
Blocked Park Reservations

Disney announced that they would reopen on Friday, September 30th. Interestingly enough at this time, guests are unable to make a new Park Reservation to any theme park for September 30th. Earlier all four theme parks offered Park Reservations on this date.
Guests with current Park Reservations on September 30th have not been affected. At this time, these Park Reservations are still valid. The limited Park Reservations affect ticket holders, resort guests, and Annual Passholders.
Guests are unable to make a new Park Reservation to any theme park for September 30th.
We pray for all in Hurricane Ian’s path safety. Walt Disney World has not yet announced plans to close Walt Disney World theme parks on Friday, September 30th.
