After a lengthy refurbishment, you do not want to miss this great news for the reopening of Kona Cafe.
Resort Refurbishments
Oftentimes when we hear refurbishment we think of this affecting our favorite attractions in the Disney Parks. However, resort refurbishments also happen! Those rooms have to stay in tip-top shape for the many Guests who stay at Disney World resort hotels every year. From room updates to pool closures, there’s usually some type of refurbishment happening.
The positive news is that many Resort Guests are only mildly inconvenienced by these resort refurbishments. Construction work will end at dusk and until 9:00 am the following day. We recently shared about a lengthy refurbishment at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas and a Deluxe Resort pool refurbishment as well.

Kona Cafe
Kona Cafe is one of many restaurants at the Polynesian Resort and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Kona Cafe is worth a trip to the Polynesian Resort simply for breakfast alone. The Tonga Toast is absolutely amazing. Be sure to check out the full review of Kona Cafe HERE.
Unfortunately, Kona Cafe closed for a refurbishment on August 15, 2022. Guests staying at the Polynesian Resort can still enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner options at Kona Island.
Last week we shared that the Walt Disney World calendar shows that Kona Cafe will reopen on November 1, 2022. At that time, reservations were not yet available for Kona Cafe. The great news is that you can now make reservations for Kona Cafe for November 1, 2022, and every date afterward.
