Purchasing theme park tickets just hurt your wallet a little more. Disney has just increases the price to enter its gates.
Price Increases
Let it be known that October 11 is the day everything increased in price at Disney World and Disneyland. Seriously, this is bananas! Just this morning we have reported on price increases for the following:
- Star Wars souvenir
- Genie+
- Character buffet dining
- Signature dining at Magic Kingdom
- Custom light sabers
- Enchanting Extra
Clicking any of the above links will take you to that news story. But, before you catch up on your news for the day, check out the latest price increase to hit Disney.
Ticket increases
Disneyland and California Adventure are located at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. The price of a 1-day ticket now ranges from $104 to $179 based on the day you are visiting. That means if you are visiting during a busier time, you can expect to pay more.
The price of a 1-day ticket now ranges from $104 to $179 based on the day you are visiting. This is an increase of 8-9%.
Of course, the price per day decreases as you purchase more days. However, even that has increased. Now those tickets are about $30-$35 more depending on how much days you purchase tickets for. Here is that pricing:
- 2-day: $285 (was $255)
- 3-day: $360 (was $330)
- 4-day: $395 (was $360)
- 5-day: $415 (was $380)
As for park hoppers, this will now cost $65 instead of $60 to add on to your ticket. Park hoppers allow you to visit both parks in one day. As a reminder, park hopping is not available until 1:00 pm.
Tiers
Also new today, Disneyland introduced a “Tier 0” 1-day ticket. There are now 7 tiers for 1-day tickets. Tiers essentially allow Disney to charge more on dates when demand is higher. That Tier 0 ticket costs $104, which has not changed since 2019. Tier 1 tickets now cost $114.
Other 1-day 1-park tickets are roughly $10 more, but Tier 6 (busier days) increase to $15. Here is current pricing:
- Tier 0: $104 (no increase)
- Tier 1: $114 ($104)
- Tier 2: $129 ($119)
- Tier 3: $144 ($134)
- Tier 4: $159 ($149)
- Tier 5: $169 ($159)
- Tier 6: $179 ($164)
Disney World increased ticket prices earlier this year. We may be safe from a price increase on the East Coast, but given today’s news I would not be surprised if there was.
