Typhoon Lagoon
Typhoon Lagoon has a cool beach vibe. Guests enjoy a tropical paradise previously hit by a typhoon. The theme is well executed and will make you feel like you’re spending the day at the beach! There are rides for guests of every age and thrill level!

Open Year Round
Thanks to warm Florida weather, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is open year round. Not only that, but on select days each summer, guests can attend the H20 Glow Night After Hours event. During this event, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park is open 3 extra hours for a fun-filled glow party. Check out Kate’s review of the event HERE.
Both Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and the main pools at all Disney Resort Hotels are heated year-round to about 80 degrees.
Except When It Isn’t…
However, at times throughout the year refurbishments are needed to keep the park running smoothly. In rare instances, Typhoon Lagoon also closes for cool weather, usually in the winter months. If you have plans to visit a water park during vacation, especially in these winter months, be sure to check the weather before going out for the day!
The forecast calls for cool temperatures tomorrow! On October 19, Orlando’s high temperature forecast in the mid 70s. At night lows are predicted at an unseasonably cool of mid-50 degrees. Because of this cool weather, Typhoon Lagoon will not open on October 19.
