For a limited time, guests will learn and encounter character meet and greets, Wakanda inspired delicacies and much more.
“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” Celebration
There is much to enjoy during the “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” festivities and celebration. New meet and greets with M’Baku, one of Wakanda’s greatest warriors and chieftain of the Jabari Clan, will be meeting guests in Avengers Campus. Disney has also just announced that M’Baku will invite recruits to join in “The Way of the Jabari.” This is an all-new experience that will share some of the culture of the Jabari Clan through chants and percussion.
Adjacent to the site of the Collector’s Fortress, The Black Panther Celebration Garden will honor the legacy of the Black Panther in Wakandan lore. This celebratory space invites guests to relax and reflect on the legendary protectors of the Kingdom of Wakanda.
M’Baku will invite recruits to join in “The Way of the Jabari.”
Also, Guests will come face to face with props and costumes from the brand new film, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” Find these inside the Avengers Campus Super Store, located in Hollywood Land.
In the Downtown Disney District, a limited-time mural will be on full display created by the artist Nikkolas Smith. Smith previously created the art installation “King Chad.” Find the mural outside the building adjacent to Star Wars Trading Post.
Wakandan Inspired Dishes
In the mood for some heroic foods? Flavors of Wakanda Marketplace located in the Hollywood Backlot offers flavorful, spiced traditional African dishes celebrating the culture and beauty of Wakanda. Delicacies include the Peri-Peri Chicken with yellow Jollof rice, Butterfly Pea Tea Lemonade, the Dawa beverage, consists of vodka, lemonade, honey, ginger beer and butterfly pea tea, and Maafe, a ground peanut stew with sweet potatoes, tomatoes, black-eyed peas and spices and is served with naan bread.
Over at Shawarma Palace and Shawarma Palace Too inside Avengers Campus, guests can feast on the Wakandan Roasted Pork Wrap. The dish features spiced pork with black garlic sauce and chermoula. Finally, Shuri’s gauntlet can also be purchased at these locations.
The festivities begin November 11 through January 8, 2023.
