No one thinks of tragedy when thinking of Disney Parks. Hear from the widow whose husband recently passed away at the Magic Kingdom.
Emergencies and Incidents at Disney Parks
Sometimes emergencies happen at Walt Disney World. People get hurt or sick and Walt Disney World does a good job of handling these types of situations and taking care of guests and people who need medical care as soon as possible.
We have seen several emergencies or other incidents occur in the parks already. You can read about those HERE and HERE. Recently, a vacationing firefighter helped save a life while at Walt Disney World.
Guest Passes Away
Recently, we learned that a Walt Disney World Guest passed away on September 25th while aboard the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover attraction. He was an 83 years old National Guard veteran who was on vacation with his wife Alice.
While aboard this attraction, he suffered a cardiac event. A sheriff’s report states that Disney security and staff performed CPR, and he was transported to Celebration Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His wife recently shared the incident with the Orlando Sentinel.
She shares that her husband had a pre-existing heart condition and had a pacemaker since July 2022. She recalls that her husband, “was like a kid in a candy store” while at Walt Disney World.
She now shares, “I tell everybody now that my husband died in his happy place because he loved Disney.” His wife recalls that the Cast Members and security at Walt Disney World were “wonderful” in responding to this incident.
“I tell everybody now that my husband died in his happy place because he loved Disney.”
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
