Disney is committed in support of many charitable efforts. This morning we learn of an extended relationship between Disney and the NBA Orlando Magic.
Orlando Magic and Disney
In 2010, Disney became a sponsor with the Orlando Magic basketball team. In 2017, they became the official Orlando Magic jersey sponsors. The relationship between the two has always been to provide outreach to benefit the local community of Orlando including the Orlando Magic Recreation Centers and sponsorship of the OMYF Open golf tournament.
Their strong relationship between both brands continue to provide various opportunities for the betterment of the local area. They will continue to do so as Disney and the Orlando Magic have agreed to extend their jersey sponsorship.
Magic point guard Markelle Fultz, alongside the announcement, had a photo shoot wearing the uniform with Disney’s sponsorship patch along with Mickey Mouse ears, gloves, and yellow shoes.
Continued Sponsorship
Orlando Magic players will sport the Disney logo on the players’ jerseys which includes the Disney name on the front left of the jersey. Additionally, the Disney logo will be available for purchase and will be seen throughout the Amway Center as seen through special seating and hospitality during select Orlando Magic home games.
“The Orlando Magic and Disney have much in common, and it’s reflected in our hometown team’s name,” says Jeff Vahle, president of Walt Disney World. “We are excited to extend this relationship and wish them a great season.”
The extension of Disney and the NBA Orlando Magic continue to represent their shared commitment to the local community and for fans and guests of both Disney and the sport of basketball.
