There are so many fun and unique ways to remember special memories from your trip to Walt Disney World. Walt Disney World vacations take a lot of planning and effort. After you come home, it is nice to look back on your vacation and remember all of the fun memories made.

Sometimes people enjoy collecting character autographs. There are different ways to display these special autographs. A lot of people decide to display them in photo mats, autograph books, wooden letters or on ear hats.

Some people like to bring home a t-shirt or buy a new pair of ears to remember their trip by. My (Maggie) boys always like to bring home a new toy. However, I feel like one of the very best ways of remembering your vacation is pictures!

Disney makes it easy for you to capture your vacation memories! One of the most popular ways is with Disney PhotoPass. With this service, guests can have pictures taken by PhotoPass photographers all throughout Walt Disney World. Photographers simply scan your MagicBand or ticket and moments later, guests can see their pictures online or in My Disney Experience.

Guests have the option to purchase these photos through Memory Maker at an additional price. Three different price ranges are currently available:

  • Memory Maker One Day (includes all photos and videos from one day) $69
  • Memory Maker – (includes all photos and videos from your vacation; however any photos taken prior to or within 3 days of the purchase date are not available) Advance Purchase $169
  • Memory Maker – (includes all photos and videos from your vacation) $199

All of these options are yet an additional expense for your vacation, but Disney does try and make it worthwhile by adding some special MagicShots to your pictures, photo lenses, and fun ride photos. If you want to make the purchase worth it, that is entirely up to you. I always try to make an effort to have as many pictures taken during trips.

Capture Your Moment

Disney introduced new photo sessions for guests that are now available at all four theme parks, called Capture Your Moment. These photo sessions are twenty-minutes long and they are a fun way to mark special occasions like holidays, birthdays or anniversaries. You can check out some reviews of these photo sessions HERE and HERE.

One thing about these sessions is if you already have Memory Maker or have an Annual Pass with a PhotoPass benefit, there is no additional charge for these pictures. However, even these have gone up a ton in price! When these special photo sessions were first introduced, guests could have a session for up to a group of 8 people for $50. This was pretty reasonable for the amount of pictures that you can receive! Then Disney increased the price to $79 and now sessions are $99.

While these are nice options to have, you might not want to pay an additional price if you are just looking for some more fun photos to have.

Are you hoping to have some professional photos taken, but do not want to add on that extra price for Capture Your Moment? Luckily, guests have another option to do just that! If you visit Disney PhotoPass Studio over at Disney Springs, you can have some professional pictures taken in front of fun backgrounds at no extra cost.

For another fun photo option during your trip, visit the Disney PhotoPass Studio at Disney Springs.

This might be the perfect way to capture some fun memories from your vacation. Disney PhotoPass Studio is located at Disney Springs in Marketplace. No reservations for these sessions are required. Simply stop in and ask to have your pictures taken!

A few months ago, I visited the PhotoPass Studio with a group of friends. There was no line for us at all. Keep in mind that during busier times this location could be a lot more busy than what we had experienced.

It’s easy to have pictures taken here. Once you arrive, a PhotoPass photographer will ask you if you are celebrating any special occasions or have a preference in any kind of background.

You will be asked to stand in front of a screen like the one pictured below.

During our session, we had our pictures taken in front of a plain background, holiday backgrounds, and fun theme park backgrounds.

These would be great pictures to have as a fun souvenir, or if you had any holiday backgrounds, holiday cards! It’s the time of year to start thinking of sending out cards, so keep this option in mind if you are visiting soon.

Disney PhotoPass Studio is open daily from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Walt Disney Annual Passholders receive 20% off purchases at this location. After pictures are taken, they can be easily linked to your My Disney Experience and they are also included in Memory Maker if you decide to purchase that. If you want to print or purchase any additional prints, then you can at one of the PhotoPass viewing stations available.

Is it Worth a Trip over to Disney Springs?

Is visiting this location worth it? During our session, we received around ten photos of various poses against different backdrops. I think it was a fun add-on to have and added some more cute pictures from our trip! However, I cannot see myself going out of my way to specifically have pictures taken here when you can easily have pictures taken all throughout Walt Disney World by PhotoPass photographers anyway.

On the other hand, if you do not have Memory Maker or are an Annual Passholder without this photo option, it could be a great way to grab a few photos without much of an added expense.
