Technical maintenance will affect guests very soon. Check out the full details below.
Disney Glitches
It is becoming quite common for Disney tech glitches to pop up. We have seen this as guests tried to make reservations from home. On multiple occasions, guests were unable to purchase Disney Genie+ or to purchase Individual Lightning Lanes for select attractions.
For those guests who had pre-purchased Disney Genie+, they were unable to make Lightning Lane selections at the given time due to technical problems. Still, other guests were charged hundreds of dollars as they attempted to make Lightning Lane selections back in July.
Last week, one guest reached out to Disney in regards to frustration around this big glitch. Instead of an apology, these glitches are referred to as “unexpected enhancements.” You can see Disney’s full response HERE.
Technical Maintenance
Disney is now sending push notifications to guests through the My Disney Experience app notifying them of upcoming technical maintenance. With so many glitches affecting the My Disney Experience app, we hope that this scheduled maintenance will improve the app.
Disney shares the following notification, “Pardon the Inconvenience: Some of our digital experiences will be undergoing maintenance. Dine and activity reservations will be unavailable starting Thursday, November 3 at 12:00 am. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
At this time it is uncertain how long this maintenance will affect guests. It appears that this may affect both booking a dining reservation and possibly special experiences as well.
It is always a great idea to take screenshots of your confirmation information for dining and special experiences. This will help if there is an error in loading these reservations when visiting the parks tomorrow.
Due to maintenance, dine and activity reservations will be unavailable starting Thursday, November 3 at 12:00 am.
For guests visiting currently visiting Walt Disney World, we hope that this maintenance is brief and will not affect them at park opening.
What do you think of this scheduled maintenance? Do you think this will help solve many of these glitches? Are you currently visiting Walt Disney World? Share your thoughts with us on our Facebook Page.
