Do you love meeting rare Disney characters? You will not believe who are now greeting guests at Walt Disney World.
Character Interactions
Part of what makes a Disney vacation so magical is interacting with your favorite characters. Princesses, The Fab 5, Pixar characters, and more come to life in theme parks and resorts. It is such a magical experience to be surprised as a princess is simply wandering through Fantasyland or you see Mickey and his pals at your resort lobby.
Oftentimes Disneyland receives some of the best character interactions such as with Bruno and Mirabel from Encanto; Minnie, Daisy, and Clarabell as the Sanderson Sisters; and even Raya from Raya and the Last Dragon. Now a few rare characters were out greeting guests at Walt Disney World this morning.
Rare Charcters
This weekend, Disney runners will race through the Walt Disney World Resort running the most magical miles on earth. Yesterday, we shared that characters were once again greeting guests at the runDisney Expo. This is the first time that they have returned since the Princess 1/2 Marathon weekend in 2020.
Today, runDisney participants for the 5K enjoyed a few rare characters along the race course. First up, guests were shocked to see Duffy greeting guests. Duffy is Mickey Mouse’s teddy bear that Minnie Mouse made for him as a traveling companion for his worldly adventures.
Duffy is quite popular at overseas Disney Parks, and it was such a surprise to meet him at Walt Disney World.
Of course, Mickey Mouse greeted runners at the 5K, but we were not expecting him to be dressed in his rare bullfighting suit. He looks so handsome with his white suit and vibrant red sash.
Finally, for the first time greeting guests at Walt Disney World is Mirabel from Encanto. Mirabel joined the “Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade” this past summer. However, she has not greeted guests at Walt Disney World until this morning.
Select characters are available for traditional meet-and-greet queue lines before and after runDisney events. This morning, guests were lining up to be among the first to meet Mirabel for the first time at Walt Disney World.
We can only hope that maybe one day she may have a permanent meet and greet location at a Walt Disney World Park.
