It is not often we share good news, but here is a happy change for Disney’s Genie+…for better or for worse.
Disney’s Genie+
Built on top of Genie, the Genie+ is a paid feature that offers more convenience and flexibility.
Here is the shortened version: for as low as $15 per person per day at Disney World and as low as $25 per person per day at Disneyland, choose the next available time to arrive at a variety of attractions and experiences using the Lightning Lane entrance.
You may be scratching your head at the “as low as” and that is because Disney recently introduced variable pricing. Now, you cannot predict how much Genie+ will cost for your travel party each day of your trip.
You can make one selection at a time all throughout the day. 40+ attractions are included at Walt Disney World and 15+ attractions will be available at Disneyland. Additionally, select character sightings and other entertainment experiences are part of the Genie+ service.

Happy update
Previously, Guests wanting to purchase Genie+ had to click on “purchase for today” in order to see the price. Disney has made it one step easier to see that pricing before you decide to commit to using Genie+ for the day.
Now, Genie+ pricing for the day is prominently displayed on the My Disney Experience app home screen and inside the tip board. When I said for better or for worse that is because you may still have a bit of sticker shock seeing those prices. Some days are good when it’s “only” $15, but during busier times we have seen it as expensive as $22 per person per day.

If you do not see pricing displayed on the app like this, you may need to update to the latest version.
