Did you receive an email from Bob Iger today? Take a look at the details here and see what he has to say to Disney fans.
Iger’s Return
If you are new to Disney, you may have missed out on Bob Iger’s previous time as Disney’s CEO. However, many long-time Disney fans are at least somewhat familiar with his leadership. This is partly because he spent 15 years serving as CEO. During that time, he became known for a strategic vision focused on creative excellence, technological innovation, and international growth.
Now Bob Iger is committed to serving as CEO of the Walt Disney Company for two years. The Walt Disney Company has already updated its leadership page listing him as Chief Executive Officer. It has also been stated that he will work closely with the board in developing a successor.
Current CEO Bob Iger and Chairman of Parks, Experiences, and Products Josh D’Amaro even recently spent some time together at Disneyland. Guests spotted them walking around both Disneyland and California Adventure on Saturday, December 3. Take a look at the details on this HERE.
Email to Cast Members
Shortly after returning to CEO, Iger addressed cast members in an email letting them know he was returning and that he was humble to be back. Take a look at the email below:
Dear Fellow Employees and Cast Members,
It is with an incredible sense of gratitude and humility–and, I must admit, a bit of amazement–that I write to you this evening with the news that I am returning to The Walt Disney Company as Chief Executive Officer.
Email to Disney Fans
This afternoon I (Susan) received a similar personable holiday email from Bob Iger. Take a look at the contents below:
As we approach the end of 2022, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude to the biggest Disney fans in the world – all of you.
Disney is fortunate to have the most devoted and enthusiastic fans, and I was reminded of this a few weeks ago when I visited Disneyland Resort and attended the Candlelight Processional. It was invigorating to be surrounded by so many guests who make what we do possible. We love your passion for our company and your enthusiasm for what we create, and we will continue to do our best to exceed your highest expectations.
As you know, next year Disney will mark its 100th anniversary. We are immeasurably grateful to the generations of fans all around the globe who have invited our stories and characters into their lives, and we look forward to celebrating the groundbreaking moments, the cherished memories, and the creative visionaries that made Disney the most beloved name in entertainment over the past century.
During the coming year, D23 will launch a slate of exciting events to mark this historic milestone.
Looking at all the opportunities ahead, I can honestly say there has never been a better time to be a Disney fan. It is an extraordinary privilege to lead this remarkable company again, and I am so grateful for your continued passion for Disney. On behalf of all of us at The Walt Disney Company, I wish you a wonderful holiday season and a very happy and prosperous New Year.

I received the email as well- and I am not a paid D23 member. I was curious who all got one to see the criteria. I am hopeful for the future of Disney now especially for my CM kiddo- the change in attitude and celebration of CM’s in the parks when the announcement was made was huge. Looking forward to them feeling the respect of their leadership again as well.
