The popular Beach Club Villas at Disney World will undergo many changes

Disney’s Beach Club Resort is one of the most popular resorts on property. However, the villas will see many changes very soon. Will this affect your travel plans?

Disney’s Beach Club is designed after New England’s charming beaches. It is more casual than its stuffier sister, Disney’s Yacht Club. The resorts are within walking distance to EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Boardwalk Resort.

Disney’s Beach Club is home to Stormalong Bay, one of the best feature pools at Disney World! Enjoy a pirate shipwreck, a lazy river, sand bottom pool, and so much more. You can read more about why I think it’s the best pool HERE.

The resort is broken up into two sections: the resort and the villas. The villas are the Disney Vacation Club side of the resort. Members can use their points to stay here, and anyone else can rent points or pay cash to stay in these amazing rooms.

Refurbishment

Disney’s Beach Club Villas will undergo a refurbishment very soon. Work will take place from January 7, 2023 through early April 2023.

The great news is the resort is not completely closing during this time! Resort amenities will remain available for your enjoyment during this refurbishment. While you may see or hear construction during daytime hours, you should not hear noise from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00 am.

It appears Disney will complete the work in phases. The Beach Club villas are one of the smallest DVC resorts on property, so if you have had trouble finding a room here during this time period this refurbishment explains why.

What will be refurbished?

At this time we do not know what exactly will be refurbished. However, given the time frame and extent of the work, it appears this is a soft goods refurbishment similar to what Disney has done recently at other resorts.

Beach Club is quite outdated compared to other resorts that have been refurbished lately. The Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Boulder Ridge, and Copper Creek were all refurbished in the last few years. It’s likely we will see Boardwalk and hopefully the Contemporary refurbished as well in the coming years.

Are you staying at Beach Club during the refurbishment? Let us know in the comments below and share with a friend who may need to hear this news!
