Guests braving the cold to visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios are in for a bit of a rough start. How would you change up your touring plans?
Ride Closures
You have the best touring plans in place, and you are at the park for a rope drop only to discover that your top attractions are closed. Disney World rides close all the time. Severe weather, mechanical or technical malfunctions, and Guests doing the wrong thing can all shut an attraction down.
Oftentimes, the ride reopens when the weather passes or the issue gets fixed. However, sometimes it can also lead to a multi-day closure. Ride closures not only affect that attraction but create a ripple effect as well. Higher wait times can be seen at other park attractions as guests scramble to revamp their touring plans.
While the majority of operations run smoothly at Disney parks, there are times when things don’t always go as planned. Evacuations, malfunctions, and more can really impact the day-to-day running of the parks. Earlier this week, we shared that Guests had a rough day at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Multiple Headliners Unavailable
Today is a cold one at Walt Disney World Resort. Many guests are bundling up and braving the cold to enjoy the Parks today. Unfortunately, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is having a rough day.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios has some of the biggest attractions. Today at 11:00 am, we were shocked when 3 big attractions became unavailable. Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Rise of the Resistance, and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror are all temporarily unavailable.
Although not considered a headliner, but Star Tours is also temporarily unavailable for guests. Due to the limited number of attractions at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the temporary closure of these headliner attractions increases wait times for the other attractions.

By 11:30 am Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror reopened. The line for Tower of Twoer went up to 110 minutes once it reopened. We are hopeful that all of the other attractions will reopen soon.
