Do you think Frozen Ever After will receive this much-needed update?
Frozen Ever After
Many guests questioned when Disney planned to replace the beloved ride, Maelstrom, in the Norway Pavilion with a Frozen-themed ride.
Guests are invited to hop on an ancient Nordic boat and voyage through scenes of the film. This journey includes many of our favorite songs while also plunging guests forward and backward through the wintry world of Frozen.
This attraction is quite popular with guests both young and young at heart and often has wait times of an hour or more of waiting during peak seasons.
New Technology
Currently, work is taking place in Hong Kong Disneyland on the new World of Frozen. In this world, guests can step into the beautiful land of Arrendale.
Michel Den Dulk, Executive Creative Director for Walt Disney Imagineering, shares, “I’m so proud of how our team pushed the boundaries to enhance the technology of the Audio-Animatronics figures as we bring this new attraction to Hong Kong Disneyland.”
“Our figure of Elsa takes Audio-Animatronics technology to a whole new level. When you see Elsa performing her signature song “Let It Go,” her facial expressions and body movements will bring her to life like never before.”
We now have a first look this unbelievable audio-animatronic:
This a HUGE upgrade to the current Elsa at EPCOT. Currently, the technology at EPCOT is a rear-projection mapping that comes from inside the head of the animatronic. This is a similar technology as with Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
Many guests at EPCOT feel as though this rear projection is somewhat lacking for this key moment for this attraction. This leads us to wonder if Disney may bring this breaking-edge technology to Walt Disney World. We really hope that Disney will choose to add this better technology to the attraction at EPCOT.
