Soon we will be able to reach out and find our “Happily Ever After.” Find out what the return of this show will look like.
Return of Happily Ever After
As the D23 Parks panel opened, Jordan Fisher sang a fantastic rendition of “Happily Ever After,” the beloved fireworks spectacular’s theme song. Then, Josh D’Amaro announced Happily Ever After is returning to Walt Disney World in 2023!
Following that announcement, Disney clarified we were not going to be seeing the return of Happily Ever After like we thought. The announcement stated the song “Happily Ever After” will return to Walt Disney World as part of an updated nighttime spectacular. It is set to debut in 2023.
Disney confirmed the beloved fireworks show will return on April 3, 2023. The show will feature brand new projections down Main Street, U.S.A. You can check out the showtimes for Happily Ever After HERE.
New Update
A couple of weeks ago, a new contest was created for Walt Disney Cast Members to earn a sneak peek of Happily Ever After on March 14th. Find out more about this contest HERE.
It appears that work is well underway to prepare for the first showing on March 14th. Last night, many Disney Resort guests shared that after-hour fireworks testing was taking place at the Magic Kingdom. After watching various views of the fireworks testing, it appears that they are testing for the return of Happily Ever After.
Disney Glimpses shares a video of the firework testing on Twitter. The great news is that after watching a clip of the finale it appears that the original pyrotechnics has returned (this was missing when the show first returned after the pandemic.) It also appears that the beloved title song is left untouched.

We are counting down the days until the return of this amazing nighttime show. We are so glad the finale at least is unchanged.
