We know Disneyland is the heart of the Disney100 celebrations, but where can we find it at Disney World. Here is the one park that will be home for everything Disney100.
Disney100
From humble beginnings as a cartoon studio in the 1920s to its name in the entertainment industry today, The Walt Disney Company proudly continues its legacy of creating world-class stories and experiences for every member of the family.
Disney 100 Years of Wonder will be the largest cross-company global celebration in the 100-year history of The Walt Disney Company. Disney Parks around the world will celebrate the 100th anniversary, with the heart of the celebration at Disneyland Resort.
Home of the Celebration at Disney World
Disneyland opened Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway and the newly re-designed ToonTown, but what about Disney World? Disney World is on the tail end of its 50th anniversary, so it makes sense that most of the focus would be on Disneyland.
However, Disney World will still participate in the celebrations! In fact, Epcot will be home to Disney100 at Disney World.
Later this year, Walt Disney World Resort will join the global celebration of The Walt Disney Company’s 100th Anniversary – 10 decades of creativity and innovation. Look for more details to come, as EPCOT prepares to host this unforgettable celebration at Walt Disney World.
Epcot will debut a brand new nighttime spectacular and character meet and greet with Figment later this fall. Plus, Communicore Plaza will open with Mickey Mouse and friends meet and greet opportunities as well. By the sounds of it, they will be meeting in their platinum Disney100 costumes!
But wait! There’s more. The Journey of Water Moana attraction will also open this fall along with Dreamer’s Point. It makes perfect sense for Disney World to use Epcot for this monumental celebration.
Epcot will be the host of Disney100 celebrations later this fall.
