Disney has updated the release date for a Star Wars Series (again). And, see how you can watch some episodes right now!
Young Jedi Adventures
At last year’s D23 event, Disney announced a fun new Star Wars series geared toward children! Young Jedi Adventures is a series of animated shorts that will follow the adventures of several Jedi Younglings named Kai, Lys, and Nubs, as they encounter the trials and tribulations that come along with the responsibility of being able to wield the Force.
Their friends Nash and RJ often show up to assist in their missions. And, of course, Master Yoda is there to train them and assign them missions. You can read more about it here.
Pivoting Disney+ Release Dates
Several weeks ago, Disney+ listed the release date for Young Jedi Adventures as April 26, 2023. It was included in a list of everything you can watch on Disney+ in April. You can read the full story right here. It will also be available on Disney Junior.
However, today, Disney and Disney+ took to social media to announce that the series will be available for streaming on Disney+ on May 4, 2023. The release will coincide with Star Wars Day nicely. In fact, it was the release date that was announced originally, leaving some fans to wonder whether the April 26 announcement was a mistake or whether we will indeed see all episodes pop up before May 4.
Where You Can Watch it RIGHT NOW
We do know that there is a little SNEAK PEEK of the first 3 Episodes of Young Jedi Adventures happening now. If you would like to see these three episodes, you can head over to the official Star Wars Kids YouTube channel.
All 3 are available. They are entitled: Meet the Young Jedi, Lys’ Creature Caper, and Kai’s Daring Droid Rescue. Each is under 4 minutes long.
