If you are searching for a filling meal and great dessert at Walt Disney World, you will not want to miss these items.
Eating at Disney
One of the biggest parts about planning a Walt Disney World vacation is what you are going to eat! While table service locations are full of delicious food and do offer some great character meals, those can be expensive. If you are traveling with a family, those meals can add up really quickly too.
If you on a budget and prefer a less expensive option, Disney has you covered. Quick service locations are found all over Walt Disney World, and some are really fantastic! Do not forget about them.
Gaston’s Tavern
Gaston’s Tavern is a quick service location in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom. This location is probably best known for its deliciously warm cinnamon rolls. These not only make for a great breakfast, but can also be a wonderful treat! If you want to try making these at home, be sure to check out the recipe in this post HERE.
If you are hungry and looking for something warm and filling, be sure to try the Ham, Provolone and Swiss Sandwich. It comes served on a warm pretzel roll and has a nice helping of warm ham and provolone cheese. Plus, you get a side of potato chips – all for $11.29.
For a great meal, try the Ham, Provolone and Swiss Sandwich and The Master’s Cupcake at Gaston’s Tavern in the Magic Kingdom!
I (Maggie) tried this for the first time during a recent trip and it was warm, filling and delicious. It’s a great choice if you are not really up to a full table service meal and looking for something quick.
The Master’s Cupcake
For dessert, be sure to try The Master’s Cupcake. We have not seen this item since before Disney’s 50th anniversary celebration. In the past, the only way to “try the grey stuff” was to visit Be Our Guest.
The Master’s Cupcake is a chocolate cupcake and has “The Grey Stuff” and crispy Pearls served on top. You can grab this cupcake for $5.79. This chocolate cupcake was not too rich, and you just cannot go wrong with “The Grey Stuff”, because it’s delicious! I thought the pearls were a nice addition and really gave it an extra boost. Overall, it’s a creamy, sweet and delicious Disney treat that will not leave you disappointed.
