Guests can purchase beer, wine, and cocktails from just about anywhere at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney Springs. Many guests enjoy “drinking around the world” at EPCOT, while others think it can get out of hand. Most people are somewhere in the middle.

Alcohol is served at both table service and quick service locations throughout these areas. Note that guests are allowed to carry quick service drinks with them inside the theme park but cannot take them outside the park. This even holds true for guests staying in walking distance, such as Disney’s Boardwalk Resort.

At the Magic Kingdom, Disney recently introduced mixed drinks in addition to beer and wine at its table-service locations. Note there are no beer carts or quick-service drinks in the Magic Kingdom at this time.

It’s clear that with excessive alcohol consumption comes disorder and chaos. And that’s exactly what happened at Disney Springs recently.

Disney Springs Incident

Disney security noticed a drunk guest acting belligerent and cursing at/in front of children at Once Upon A Toy in Disney Springs after serval other Guests made complaints. When confronted, the man continued to act in this way and refused to leave the premises.

When escorted out, the Guest continued to act in this manner. That is when Orange County Sheriffs were contacted and the man was formally trespassed. He refused to leave and continued to stumble around and speak inappropriately around other Guests in the area.

This led to a formal arrest where the man shared he was a nurse and was going to sue the sheriffs office. He then threatened with they better hope he is never their nurse in the ER.

According to the report, “Mr. (last name) was provided with a Trespass Warning and was given multiple opportunities to leave the premises but refused. Therefore Mr. (last name) is being charged with one count of Trespass After Warning from a Business. Mr. (last name) was clearly intoxicated and was causing a public disturbance.”

He is also being charged with “one count of Disorderly Intoxication. Mr. (last name) did not obey deputies’ lawful commands, and resisted deputies efforts to secure him in handcuffs when probable cause for his arrest existed. Mr. (last name) is being charged with one count of Resisting an Officer without Violence.”

Disney has gone over the top with alcohol. We end up leaving the parks when the drunks get unruly. It seems to be a common occurrence.

With Florida's Gun laws everyone should be thankful one was NOT involved in this incident. It could have been MUCH worse!!
