This new record means it may be a bit easier for you to ride Tron at Magic Kingdom.
Tron
TRON is a coaster like none other in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom. This attraction is so different than other attractions, so be sure to check out everything that you need to know about riding TRON HERE.
Because Tron utilizes a virtual queue and the Individual Lightning Lane, it is impossible to just get in a standby line and ride this attraction. The demand for this attraction is so high the virtual queue fills up almost immediately and the Lightning Lane purchases also sell out pretty quickly. In fact, on many days offsite guests are not even able to purchase it!
Tron is an incredibly popular ride and does not utilize a traditional standby line.
A new record
The ride has been open for only a few weeks, but things are slowly getting better in terms of being able to ride. Tron opened right in the middle or spring break crowds. This meant there were many more people trying to get a group via virtual queue or an Individual Lightning Lane.
Because spring break crowds are gone for the most part, Tron’s Individual Lightning Lane availability is lasting a bit longer. This morning, April 15, Lightning Lane availability did not sell out until shortly before 9:45 am. Previously, it either sells out before park opening or within a few minutes once offsite Guests are able to book.
Tron set a new record and Individual Lightning Lane availability lasted until shortly before 9:45 am.
Encouragement
This is encouraging! This proves that during non-peak times you should have a decent chance of purchasing a Lightning Lane. The virtual queue will still likely fill up really quickly for the time being.
