Planned outage will affect vacation planning at Disney World

Disney World vacation planning can be stressful enough. Now, a planned outage may make it even more stressful.

Disney World is not like other vacation destinations. There is a lot of planning that goes into it! Everything from crowd calendars and resorts to researching restaurants and park strategies mean you may be spending months figuring everything out.

While resort reservations can be booked up to several months in advance, most reservations can be booked 60 days ahead of your trip. This includes dining, Enchanting Extras (like Savi’s Workshop), and more.

Many popular restaurants and experiences will book up quickly, so it is best to book them as close as you can to your 60 day window. However, Disney is going to make this all a bit harder to do this week.

Disney World advises Guests that a planned outage will take place this week. This is set to begin tomorrow, April 18 at 12:00 am. There is no end date set for this outage. See the announcement below:

Some of our digital experiences will be undergoing maintenance. Dine reservations, Resort bookings and Enchanting Extras Collection bookings may be affected starting Tuesday, April 18th at 12am ET. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The good news is that the key word here is “may”. Hopefully you will still be able to make all of your important reservations like dining, resorts, and more. If you are able to, consider doing these important reservations before the planned outage.

I would suggest checking frequently for reservations you are hoping to score this week. You never know when you will able to get into the system and book it!

Dine reservations, Resort bookings and Enchanting Extras Collection bookings may be affected starting Tuesday, April 18th at 12am ET.
