Moana Meet and Greet
Disney celebrates 25 years of magic at Disney’s Animal Kingdom next month on Earth Day! In April, there will be new ways to join in the celebration of Earth Day and this milestone, including new sweet and savory treats and specialty merchandise in the park.
There are also great activities and surprise characters all throughout the park this week.
Just in time for the 25th Anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Moana, from the hit Walt Disney Animation Studios film, will greet fellow voyagers on Discovery Island for the first time, starting April 22.
Special Preview
Before Moana greets all guests, a few select guests will be among the first to welcome her to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Walt Disney World Cast Members will now be able to meet Moana at the Character Landing Boat Dock on Discovery Island. This special preview will be on Friday, April 21st from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
This is a free event for all Cast Members and they can meet Moana in their Cast Member costume before or after their shift. If Cast Members visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom on their day off, they must have a Park ticket and a park reservation.
Special registration is not needed, but all Cast Members must present their Disney ID for this special preview with Moana. Unfortunately, no guests are allowed to join Cast Members for this special experience.
This special preview will be on Friday, April 21st from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
This is just another special way to honor the Cast Members who make magic happen for guests every day. We can’t wait to see her new meeting location at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on April 22nd.
