Guests at these Disney Resorts will now have a mandatory quiet time in effect. What do you think of this?
Disney Resorts
Staying at a Disney Resort offers many great amenities including transportation, early theme park entry, and proximity to the parks. Disney offers a variety of resort options to best fit each guest’s needs and price points. These include value resorts, moderate resorts, and deluxe resorts.
There are five value resorts at Disney World, and three of those are the All-Star Resorts: All-Star Movies, All-Star Music, and All-Star Sports. Like the term “value” implies, All-Star resorts rely heavily on cost and theme.
Value resorts are the cheapest of the Disney World resorts, so if you are visiting Disney on a tight budget you will want to start by pricing out the value resorts. The price of value resorts also makes these a great option for traveling school groups.
Quiet Time Rule
Many school groups visit Walt Disney World every year. This includes competitive groups using the ESPN Wide World of Sports which is near the All-Star Resorts.
Marching bands also plan trips to Walt Disney World and are invited to learn and grow at the Disney Imagination Campus. These band members feel like honorary Cast Members for the day as they entertain guests at the Magic Kingdom.
Many guests have shared that school groups are filling the All Star Resorts with cheerleaders practicing in the wide open lawn areas and band members practicing in their resort rooms.
Now guests at the All Star Music Resort notice new signage encouraging the use of quiet time. The sign reads, “Hey there, Musicians! We hope that you are enjoying your stay! Please remember that quiet hours are between 11:00 pm and 8:00 am.”
We hope these signs may help encourage all guests at these resorts to be mindful of their fellow guests.
Quiet time hours are now posted at All Star Music from 11:00 pm until 8:00 am.
What do you think of the value resorts with school groups? Do you think that these signs may help with the nighttime noise? Do you avoid value resorts simply for added noise from school groups? Share your thoughts in the comments.

Having have had this issue in many hotels not just Disney resorts I think it's a great idea that EVERY hotel out there should begin. So many times in my 30 years of traveling I've been awaken by loud people checking into their room at 3am or getting back to their room.
Unfortunately people sometimes don't know who to be kind and considerate to others. They need a reminder on how to act. If Disney would do this will ALL their resorts this would actually be an encouragement for me to stay there. 11pm -8am sounds like perfect hours. If you want it need to get up earlier that's fine just be considerate that others are sleeping later. Don't walk down the halls screaming. Don't bang drawers in your room as your getting dressed. Try to walk gently is you have people downstairs to you. And teach your kids to do the same. Yes, they can be taught if they are no longer toddlers. I was!! Let's all be better humans and be kind and considerate to others!

Just because parks and pools are open later doesn’t mean you can’t act in a courteous manner when coming back to your room. In fact, we should all be doing this anyway. Hotel rooms are not for throwing parties, we are not in our own homes. If you want to do that, go to a common area in the hotel. I often tell my loud speaking niece and mom to talk lower. At the poly we had a connecting room with people coming in and out of the room next door carrying on well past 1 am. Not cool at all. There and thank xo KAREN ;) ps 11:00-8 am is more than reasonable.
