Another refurbishment is coming up for Disney’s Boardwalk. See if this might change any of your travel plans.
Disney’s Boardwalk
Described as a resort that evokes turn-of-the-century boardwalks in coastal cities such as Coney Island and Atlantic City, the BoardWalk Resort has unique theming that sets it apart from the rest. This resort has fun carnival games, exciting entertainment, and unique dining.
Disney’s Boardwalk is in a period of transition right now. Just about everything in the resort is being updated. The ESPN Club is even in the process of becoming The Cake Bake Shop. Recent additions include the Boardwalk Deli and Carousel Coffee.
The lounge and resort rooms are also in the process of being refurbished.
Trattoria al Forno
Trattoria al Forno is an Italian restaurant located at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort. Trattoria means “casual Italian eatery” and al Forno means “food that has been baked in an oven.”
The location serves breakfast and dinner. Despite it being open for quite some time, the Bon Voyage Adventure breakfast has still not returned. At this character meal, guests could meet with characters like, Ariel, Prince Eric, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. No indication of when or if this meal will return has been given yet, but we are hopeful that we will see it again.
Upcoming Refurbishment
Guests visiting Disney’s Boardwalk this summer should be aware that Trattoria al Forno will undergo a brief refurbishment. The dining location will be closed from June 11 through June 17th. While it is closed, no dinner offerings will be available.
